Inspect your gutter regularly, by keeping on top of it and keeping it clear it will reduce the amount of maintenance and costs for you – you can check your guttering by using a ladder but make sure you are safe and always call for professional help if you need it
2. Debris in your gutter can prevent water from flowing through to the downspouts and clear of your roof. By cleaning the gutters regularly this stops water soaking into the roof causing damp and rotting
3. Blocked gutters and drains will leave your home being more susceptible to leaks and damp. By keeping your gutter clear and without a build-up of excess water which has nowhere to go, it can avoid cracked foundations at your property
4. Blocked gutters can become heavy from the weight of excess dirt, grass and water which can cause your guttering to pull away from your property. Keep your gutters clear to avoid them falling from your home completely
5. It is recommend that you get your gutters cleaned at least twice a year, preferably in late Spring and then again in early Winter where the gutters get clogged with leaves.
